Tuesday morning miscellany

+ GUYS I LEAVE FOR NEW YORK TWO WEEKS FROM TOMORROW. That is crazy talk.

I have so much to do between now and then. It's freaking me out a little, but at the same time, I don't care, because I LEAVE FOR NEW YORK IN TWO WEEKS.

+ My head hurts and my throat's been sore since yesterday. There's a terrible cold going around at work. Also my nephew has scarlet fever. I am surrounded by disease! But I refuse to get sick, because I am going to New York in two weeks, as I may have mentioned, and I still have way too much to do.

+ 'Too much to do' includes a bunch of sewing projects, organizing a baby shower, mowing the lawn, and getting someone to do something with my tragic hair. The baby shower is mostly sorted, at least, thanks largely to my sister, who is good at that sort of thing, whereas I am mostly not.

+ Notice none of my to do list has anything to do with my job. I just don't even care at this point.

+ Also on the 'do not care' list: au_bigbang. I'm thinking about dropping out*. I'm just not feeling fandom at the moment, I guess. Perhaps vacationing with fangirls will renew my fervor, but I'm not holding my breath.

+ Have I mentioned that I will be in New York City in two weeks? Last call to come hang out! Basically we are planning to spend Sunday drunk. I'm pretty excited**.

* No one will miss me anyway! I say that all the time 'cause it's true. It's an important lesson to learn in life, I think.
** Mostly at this point I'm just excited to not be at work, but whatev. I'll figure out what to do about that when I get back.

I CAN'T WAIT TO BE AROUND NORTHERNERS AGAIN. Honestly, I just want to get out of the south. Is that so wrong??

I am not getting sick! Surely it's just my allergy to Knoxville. (I have a bonafide allergy to this town; it's a real thing because the air quality here is so poor. True story! And all the more reason to leave.)

Hell no, I don't blame you! I honestly don't know how you've survived down there for so long. You're made of stronger stuff than I, madame!

I'd believe it. Washington, D.C. tends to destroy me in the spring because there are native plants down there my poor immune system just can't handle.

I still don't know how I got stuck in the south.

Knoxville is officially the worst place for allergies in the entire U.S. I wish I'd known that *before* I moved here.
