That is some crazy ridiculousness right there. if they absolutely have to charge, they should make it a sliding scale thing where each member of a group pays their own dues individually so other people don't have to pick up the slack for inactive members. But that neither here nor there now that you guys have moved on.
It might be a little more work, but it has a better pay off, right?
