For posterity, here’s what i wrote for Yuletide. Seven fics in total in seven different fandoms. (I wish every single one of them was better, but that’s life, I suppose.)

The Color and the Noise, Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon, Taylor/Doug, NC17. If you can't be with the one you love, love the one you're with.

The Stubborn Witness Of the Everyday, Big Eden, Pike/Henry, NC17. Henry’s not known for his portraits.

I’ll Be the One, But I’m a Cheerleader, Megan/Graham, PG. The road to happily ever after, with a few new firsts along the way.

Adnascentia, Creep, Aaron/Josef, R. Aaron's got a dozen different excuses for why he went to the park to meet Josef, but all they are is excuses.

Plan B, Ice Princess, Gen/Ann, PG. Gen walked away from her Plan A. Ann's Plan A just didn't work out, but Plan B's not always such a bad thing.

Playing Chess With Fate, Parks and Recreation, Sonia Knope-Wyatt/Oliver Traeger-Perkins, PG. The thing about destiny is that it's inescapable. Even if it means admitting your mom might have been right all along.

And Your Moonlight Too, Veritas: The Quest, Solomon/Vincent, PG. Above all, always come up with a believable cover story.

Post-finale trope bingo: Nikko and Cal get kidnapped, huddle for warmth, form a soulbond, and discover they're sort of into each other and also can maybe save the world.

Textual Poaching by Eisoj5. Redshirts, Andy/Jimmy, PG. "You think Andy is the main character," Jenkins said.

Both are loaded with all my favorite tropes, perfectly in character, clever, and best of all, long. If you haven't read them yet, give them a try. You won't be sorry.

Now that Yuletide authors have been revealed, I can list the stories I wrote this year. For posterity or whatever. Most of these are tiny little fandoms you've probably never heard of, but there are eight stories under the cut nonetheless.

And so ends another Yuletide. I swear I am not signing up next year. I always write so much and stress myself out needlessly and it's ridiculous. The story I got this year was so fantastic, though. That makes it really hard not to go back for more. At least I don't have to think about it for ten more months.

Currently distracting myself by writing way too much for Fandom Stocking, but once that's over I swear I am going to get serious. About...something.

In case anyone wanders through here looking for Those Old Streetscapes, you can find the latest chapter at AO3. I'm afraid that's the best I can do until such time as LJ is working again.

I try not to be a fatalist about these things, but I fear this may be the beginning of the end of fandom on LJ. Not that many people have migrated to DW, however, and it's so *lonely* over here. I miss my people, especially this week when work has been super-stressful.

This whole mess does make me really grateful I never bothered with a permanent LJ account, however. And I wouldn't even mind moving to DW if it wasn't for the icons. And I'd miss LJ's scrapbook a lot. And, you know the people.

I do have some DW codes, I think, if anyone's in need.

A/N: The next several parts of this series are mostly little scenes that are kind of meandering and quiet, but I think necessary. I hope so, anyway. I'm just trying not to delve into silliness. And I'd like to get to the end of the world's longest two week vacation at some point as well.

A very Happy Thanksgiving to all of you in the U.S. I wish you all a low-key, drama-free day spent with good food and people who don't drive you crazy, and plenty of time to reflect on the things you cherish most about your life. Or plenty of time to read porn and eat pie. Whichever!

I will be spending most of my day hanging around at home, maybe running the vacuum and cleaning up a little, then I will go to my sister's house for cooking and eating and all-important brat face time and then probably a movie and some wine. That's about as low-key as it gets.

For those of you who aren't spending the day celebrating gluttony and organized violence in the form of professional sports, and are therefore mostly slogging through a Thursday and wishing the internet weren't so damn quiet, I can offer you only this: roughly 6500 words of sort of awkward, disappointingly PG-rated Finn/Will fic. I've hit that part of the series that's kind of tricky and weird, and I hope I manage to pull it off okay.

Anyway, posting fic on Thanksgiving, that's kind of weak, but I actually posted this last night and this is just the announcement, so it doesn't count:
