I am punking out on work today. Those crazy girls who came over last night to watch Glee kept me up way too late. I am an old lady, you guys! But it was totally worth it, because it was really fun. And we managed to convert Anna Leah to the Glee love with a series of completely random* episodes, so go us.

At 7:30 this morning I went to the diet doctor, who got me in and out of there in under half an hour for once, but it's rainy and cold and dreary and the thought of going downtown and hunting for a parking space when I could stay home and write some more** was just too much. So I made sure you know who actually showed up at work for once, then I cheerfully told him to enjoy a taste of his own medicine and changed back into my pajamas.***

I could have gone to work, sure, because I am already awake and I was dressed and in my car, even. But I almost cried twice last night for no fucking reason, to say nothing of the times I have nearly cried at work this week, so in the end I decided I probably needed to not be at work and just took a mental health day.

And now I am going to poke at a couple writing projects and listen to the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge sessions that theamusedone shared with me, because I have been kind of obsessed with them all week. Seriously, I have no idea how I have lived without Orson's cover of "Push the Button" for this long. Or The Futureheads' cover of "Hounds Of Love". Oh, God, my heart.
