We had a landlord that was Lokota. He called himself one of the people. Maybe it's just them? Or maybe just him. He was pretty odd but we paid almost no rent and he always mowed the grass so I'm not complaining!
We had a temporary foster placement that was some fraction Native American and all the rest Japanese. She qualified as Native American enough that she did all the tribal things. I always thought it was kind of odd to see this very Japanese girl with all the very Native American kids. Good for her to branch out I suppose. Tho come to think of it she was kind of odd, too! Hmmm.
