carolinecrane | Picspam: Winter Wonderland Edition

Instead of doing anything so productive as actual work, I will post some pictures that I took the other day. My mom asked for pictures of my new Christmas tree, so it's totally justified, right?

A few weekends ago I mentioned having

novellover and

ophelias_heart over for a Glee-a-thon and the infamous Cookie Cake Pie.

rabidfan requested pictures, so I obliged.

Here it is fresh out of the fridge:

Red velvet cake over sugar cookie dough, baked into a Julia Child recipe pie crust and iced with cream cheese frosting. I wasn't a fan, but the girls seemed to enjoy it okay.

It's all gne now. Which is fine with me, frankly, because they don't know how to treat the sidewalks here.

I've been putting off taking pictures in the hope of a) finding the perfect silver topper, and b) making a tree skirt with some leftover fabric I have around here somewhere, but neither of those things have happened, and it's nearly Christmas week, so let's just stop pretending they're going to.

It's so tacky! I LOVE IT.
